Support the Education of Future Ministers and Church Leaders
Dr. Richard Drake Memorial Scholarship Fund
Primus University of Theology has established the Dr. Richard Drake Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of our Founder, and his vision to make it possible for qualified men and women in Christian ministry to achieve their educational goals. The University is dependent upon outside support to help make earning a Degree in Ministry a reality for those with financial limitations that would otherwise prevent them from pursuing their educational goals.
Our Mission is to help train and equip those in ministry related fields to achieve their full potential in life and service to the Lord Jesus Christ, by making it possible to complete a degree program primarily through distance learning, with a minimal amount of time away from ministry, work and family.
To accomplish this goal, the University recognizes transfer credits and awards credit for documented "Lifelong learning." We recognize that biblical knowledge is worthy of credit and acknowledgement, and that honor and recognition should be awarded those who learn through revelation and independent study. It is through evaluation and assessment of prior knowledge and performance skills, that those in Ministry related fields are able to complete graduate degrees primarily through Portfolio Assessment and at a fraction of the cost of the traditional seminary system.
Dr. Richard N. Drake, oversaw and developed our University System. He was the chief founder of Phoenix University of Theology and the architect of the Contemporary adaption of the classic ecclesiastical university system.
Prior to entering the ministry at the age of 33, he worked primarily as a corporate growth, marketing, and political consultant. Building on those experiences, Dr. Drake had been an effective activist in promoting the sancity and sovereignty of the Church and its mission against government and elitist encroachment.
Primus University of Theology is formed through Alliances with world class independent teaching ministries, we are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Christian University, accredited through the University Accrediting Association. The University validates learning and awards earned degrees to substantiate the graduate's level of learning. Alumnus at the Master's and Doctorate level become Adjunct Professors, their books, materials and teaching are used to teach incoming students.
Students are encouraged to ask family members, ministry affiliates, colleagues and friends to make a tax deductible donation to the Dr. Richard Drake Memorial Scholarship fund, and write a brief letter, recommending that they be considered for a Scholarship. The Candidates should submit a request for Financial Aid to determine the amount of the scholarship for which they will be eligible.
